August 09 update
Hi everyone,
Am starting to get excited about the new book, as I prepare for the October launch in NYC. Also am looking forward to sharing the digital version of strategy+business magazine's piece on the SCARF model, which has become very popular in leadership circles. Coming soon. Meanwhile, there's lots of other news...
Ambassador program for Your Brain at Work
Your Brain at Work is out early October. It's having a powerful impact on people
who've read it so far, based on the early reviews. I have created an Ambassador Program for people who want to share the book with others. Basically you order 12 books to give to colleagues or friends, and in return I will give you signed copies, a free place at a new workshop based on the book, access to an exclusive web event and more. (The price per book is below retail too.) To place an order, go to the Ambassador Program page.
New blog at Psychology Today
I was delighted to be invited to be a regular blogger on this mainstream website.
I have posted twice so far, and am finding it's a fascinating medium, and a great opportunity to regularly share insights about the brain. I have written so far on 'Why do all self-help books seem to sound the same?' and 'Why should we care about neuroscience?' I will keep blogging on this site, davidrock.net, about my whereabouts, projects, events etc and keep the psychology today site for neuroscience updates. Am also doing a lot of posting on Twitter about neuroscience.

ew book by my friend Mark Goulston
Mark used to train hostage negotiators. He's one of the best listeners in the world, and one of the most generous people I've met too. His new book 'Just Listen' is going to do great! Check it out.
NeuroLeadership Graduate Certification officially approved,
The Neuroleadership Institute continues to grow. The 1st Graduate Certificate Program launches end of September, the program has now officially been approved as a Post Graduate Certificate in the Neuroscience of Leadership. The next group starts mid March 2010. Click here to watch a short video on the Graduate Certificate, or here for general info on the program. There's also now a full syllabus online.
2009 NeuroLeadership Summit nearly full
The next summit, this one in Los Angeles at UCLA, is nearly full, with only 40 places left on Sept 1. We have an amazing line up of presenters including neuroscientists Daniel Siegel, Marco Iacoboni, Matt Lieberman, Naomi Eisenberger Jonah Lehrer, along with leaders greats Warren Bennis and someone no one has heard from in a long time, Werner Erhard.

New textbook - Coaching with the Brain in Mind
I do indeed accidentally have two books coming out in the one year...My new texbook, co-written with Linda Page, has just started shipping. This book is for people studying HR, leadership, coaching or change, who want to understand the science behind how people grow and learn, specifically based on neuroscience. The book summarizes the important insights from systems theory, learning theory, psychotherapy, positive psychology, change theory and more. Neuroscience is the element that then bridges these together. This was a looong project and am pleased it's finally out! Watch a brief video below or buy it online now.

Recent online interviews
I did a series of audio recordings recently at SHRM, professionally podcast by Peter Clayton, on the NeuroLeadership field overall. Listen here.

Job opening at RCS in North America
My coaching organization RCS is growing...in fact we grew 50% in the last 12 months, despite the global economy. We're hiring someone to focus on sales of public programs across the US and Canada.
